Pay it forward...

Pay it forward...
The rules
1. Be one of the first THREE (3) bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me - something crafty or yummy, only I know.
2. Winners much post this challenge on their blog, meaning that they will Pay IT Forward, creating a handmade gift- anything! for the first THREE (3) bloggers who leave a comment on their post about the giveaway!
3. The gist that you send to your friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make and/ or ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: it's the spirit and the thought that counts!
4. When you receive your gift, feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate pictures and comments! If you are nit one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your friends to do the same!
SO, REMEMBER...Pay It Forward!
Let's help make this a wonderful world to live in and show our friends how much we care for them :)

Project Noah - Week #7

PROJECT NOAH-FEBRUARY WEEK #7 Purchase Items 1. 6 lbs. of yeast (essential for turning wheat into bread). You can buy 2.5 lb packages at Costco for about 3 dollars. Freezing extends shelf life. 2. 3 (or more) Jars of Spaghetti Sauce Activity (FHE or Saturday) Video or photograph your home’s belongings for insurance purposes and fun family memories. Don’t forget to open the cupboards, show closets and garage. Have your kids give a guided tour of their rooms. Make a backup copy and store at another location i.e.: work, relative’s or friend’s house. Pick a favorite recipe that your family likes to eat. Calculate how much of each ingredient it takes. Times that by 12, and you’ll know how much of each ingredient you would have to have stored to make that recipe once a month for a year. Or times it by 24, to know how much you’ll need to be able to make it once every 2 weeks. Timed by 52 and you’ve got a meal per week. You’ll really want to like it to eat it every week…. If you do this with 15 or so recipes, and times each one by 24, you’ll have an entire year’s worth of meals. The more recipes you use, the more variety you’ll have.

PROJECT NOAH-WEEK #6.

PROJECT NOAH -FEBRUARY- WEEK #6 Purchase Items: 1. 6 lbs. of salt 2. Think long term! It will soon be time to plant bare-root fruit trees or berry canes. Consider “fruit salad” trees (four fruits on one root stalk) or mixed apple trees for a variety all in one, or an espalier tree for very limited space. If you have a wet patch in your yard or a fence or hill to cover, berries love extra water and something to climb. Look around your yard and determine whether a new planting could be incorporated. 3. Fire-proof boxActivity (FHE or Saturday)Make copies of your deeds, titles, insurance policies, social security cards, birth certificates and other important papers. Put the originals in a fire-proof box. Store extra copies at a trusted relative’s house or bank deposit box. Wheat TipIf you don’t own any wheat yet, try ordering just one case, (6 no#10 cans) which is usually pretty inexpensive. Ideas for storing one case are: under a bed or crib, in a coat closet, in the back of a cupboard, under a sink, in the laundry room, tool shed, or garage.

Cousins Dinner - February 2009 edition

We get together with some of the cousins on my dads side of the family every once in a while for cousins dinner. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays, and it was really good. I thought the pictures were cute, and I actually remembered to take some this time. Lots of fun!
