Girls night in Park City-2013

This past weekend my mom, Carina, Janae, Heather, Carly, Lyndsey, Stephanie, and I went to Park City. I really hope this becomes a yearly thing that we do. It was a blast. There are not words to explain how great it felt to get some time away with adults. I didn't get as many pictures as I would've liked to. Especially of our killer late night nertz game in the hotel lobby. Lyndsey and Janae for sure broke some records. However, I did snap a few. I've got some from the spa getting manis and pedis, and one of us taking a break at the outlets. Thanks girls for the great fun! I hope you all enjoyed the time away as much as I did.

I did get a manicure too, just no picture to document it. That's pretty typical. I'm always the photographer.

Good times! I'm sorry Lyndsey, you didn't make it into any of the photos. You're still cute and we loved having you along!

What's missing?

Seth got himself ready for church today. He put his socks and shoes on but forgot something. I can't quite put my finger on it. What is it?
The socks just kill me! What a funny boy:)

It was 14 short years ago today that I married my Ben. The time has gone by relatively quickly. It seemed slow when I was in it, but to see where we are now I can't believe it's been so long. He is a wonderful husband who works tirelessly to take care of me. He provides not only for me but our family with such eagerness. He loves to be a wonderful provider. He is fun and dare I say funny? He will let that go to his head. Together we have 4 3/4 beautiful children. That is crazy!

Some of my favorite memories of our wedding day are napping in the park,  the accident in the car (ask Ben), how excited Ben was when Grandpa Horsley came, dancing way too close (other people must have been uncomfortable), and waiting in the celestial room to be married. I am such a lucky and blessed person to be able to have Ben as my rock and my friend. He can save my life and ruin my life all in one day. Isn't that what friends are for? I say that with a smile. He's wonderful in every way. Happy Anniversary Ben! We beat your dad! I love you!

Not many photos of us together...this will have to do:) I should dig out a wedding photo. That'd be fun!

Fun day for Heidi

My friend, Inger, asked me to help her with desserts for her daughters birthday party. Her theme was Alice in Wonderland. It was supposed to have a colorful eclectic feel to it. I made a rabbit hole cake, 24 mini cupcakes, and 1 1/2 dozen sugar cookies. It was really fun to make all the fondant decorations. She's got better pictures because she had them all sitting on a cute cake stand. Mine are sitting on the kitchen counter. Here's what I've got.

Celebrating Mediocrity

Today was a fun day. I got to spend the morning celebrating my son, Seth's graduation from pre-school. He unfortunately will be going to pre-school again next year so this graduation doesn't really count. Does it? He was really cute, and in true Seth fashion didn't say one word the whole time, barely sang the songs, ate a lot if treats after the program, and wouldn't let me take a picture of him with his teacher. He spent a whole year with the woman and wouldn't ask her to take a picture with him. Hopefully another year of pre-school will get him out of his shell a little, no, a lot more. He's a sweet and very intelligent kid and it was fun celebrating his special, yet mediocre, day.

Bring on summer!
