Shout out to my peeps!

This week has gone by very slowly. It has been a long, and sometimes tough road physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I just want to say thanks to all my friends and family who called, stopped by, brought me food, gave me pills, offered future assistance, let me clean their house, took my baby, took me to the surgeon, said a prayer, thought about, or any and all of the above this week. I feel very blessed today that 1) the week is over, and 2) I have so many people who care about me. Thanks and here's to next week.

Ist grade and counting

Noah started the first grade this week. He absolutely loves it! He is enjoying riding his bike to school and eating school lunch. He was very particular in his request for a sling backpack. (I think that is what they are called) He likes his teacher and is so excited to get back into the routine of things. I can't believe he is so big. He can't possibly be old enough to be in school all day. In the wise words of Willow, "we are real moms now." Have a good year buddy, we love you!

the good news is I don't know the next one, but will think about it. Give me until Monday and if I can't remember you can tell me and then I will shoot one to try and stump you next week.

The Burbs

This post is for Aubrey: Oh come on...challenge me!?!?!

How did we get to body painting?

My boys wanted to do water colors, which turned into finger paints, which turned into painting rocks, which turned into painting themselves. It was a fun day of trying to paint everything that we see....except for the stack of paper that mom pulled out.

What is that word you are typing.

Word Verification; by Heidi Horsley I know it is a free country and we all have to make our own choices. I hate word verification and I choose not to use it. I thank all of my friends that make that same choice. Don't call me Obama cause you can do what you want, and I won't run the little guy down. But if you make me verify to comment....you will see the silly words blogger makes me type at the bottom of your comments....cause I hate it. I am not upset...I just hate it and I want you all to know what is going on with crazy Heidi when she comments on your blog and leaves a strange salutation at the bottom. Was I just talking about myself in third person? Oh, well. Thanks for listening.

Is your favorite way to eat pizza in a cone?

I don't know where Noah came up with this idea, but here is our conversation. Noah: "Mom can we have pizza cones for lunch?" Me: "What's a pizza cone Noah?" Noah: "You know, it's pizza in a snow cone with out the ice and tigers blood." Me: "why would you ever want to do that?" Noah: "cause it's fun mom!" When I realized that I can't argue with that logic, we made pizza, we made cones out of lightweight cardboard, and we put the pizza in them. Thus the birth of the pizza cone!

Newest adventure in cupcakes

They look like they should be for Valentines Day, but that is what she wanted for a bridal shower. They turned out cute, and maybe I will make them again for Valentines Day and take some to my friends.

This post is dedicated to Steph...she knows why

Noah loves to ride his bike/scooter. We drive around trying to find good kid friendly skate parks that the boys can ride bikes and scooters on because they can't really ride their skateboards yet unless it is totally flat ground. Our favorite one is in Farmington and here is Noah sporting his bike today. Steph, this shot is for you!

The Horsleys take Lagoon-A-Beach

One of our favorite summer activities is swimming and sliding at Lagoon-a-Beach. Here we are getting ready to enjoy the water. I swear that I was in a picture this day because I made Ben take one, but I didn't have my tooth in so it didn't make the cut to be on the blog. Sorry!

Better Late Than Never I Always Say

I am a little late, but here it is anyway. We went to the Bountiful Pioneer Day parade and carnival in the park for Pioneer Day. We got to go with Bens sisters Jessica and Angie. Jessica and I are not in any of the pictures, but our kids are so you know we were there. Jessicas Leila was so cute with her bows! Rich showing his spirit. Angie and Ben! We were so excited that Ben could come to the parade with us this year. He has been in it the last 5 years and it was fun to sit by him for a change...well he sat by Angie.
The cousins...Gracie, Hannah, Noah, Adam, Carter, and Lily.
Jessicas daughter Lily just loves Carter so I snapped this photo hoping to blackmail them someday.
Adam with his flag...is it tasty?
